Jeff Davis Parish Project

We are one of 4 committed non-profits working on these homes. (Mennonite Disaster Services (lead), Catholic Charities of Southwest Louisiana, and SWLA Responds)  Each brings an important set of skills to the table that make the end results possible.  The Fuller Center is managing the FORTIFIED Certification Process for these constructions.  We have engaged a FORTIFIED Evaluator who will help to ensure that the home meets all standards for Hurricane Resiliency.  You can learn more about FORTIFIED by clicking here.

Millard St

Many obstacles stood in the path to building this final home, of the Fall 2023 Project.  It has taken the combined efforts of our coalition, town officials, family members, and other concerned citizens to make this new home a reality, for this elderly woman and her disabled adult son.   The foundation is now complete and framing is underway.
